Mass Elite Team Calendar 2006

Winter 2005-06
Tryouts begin for all teams! Players who want to play Mass Elite must attend 1 tryout and are encouraged to attend ALL! Call Backs are mandatory for all considered players and will be held in March, time and place TBA. Tryouts are held by pre-registration and by invitation.

Teams will be announced after Call Backs, players will then receive a team packet which will include – uniform order, summer commitments, policy and procedures, and profiles for 2007 & 2008 players to create our Player Profile CD ROMS which are sent to over 400 colleges. We ask that all players and parents review this information in its entirety, if there are any questions please contact Paula or Leslie at any time.

SPRING 2006 ~ Teams are announced!!
In addition, each spring we offer a Girls Spring League/Training program! League Training will be held on Saturdays, and will be offered to girl’s grade 5th – 8th. Mass Elite Spring Leagues are an opportunity to play in a competitive league while receiving instruction from our excellent staff of lacrosse coaches. Mass Elite Spring Leagues will run starting in April thru May, game/clinic time and location will posted in February 2006 at www.masselite.com.

For all youth players (grade 5, 6, 7, 8) we offer a Spring League/Training program on Saturday’s. This addition to our club will prepare our younger players for summer competition, and establish familiarity with teammates and coaches. This program will include team practices and league play. This program will assist in establishing our team squads for tournament play for the upcoming season.

Summer/Fall 2006:
Our team squads will be offered 3- 4 tournaments throughout each season: summer, fall, and winter. We will also require players to attend training sessions throughout the year. Training in the summer is held during the week and some weekends; and in the fall on weekends. We will post our summer training in June and our fall training in September.
We plan College Nights to discuss with our high school players the process of recruiting and things they should be thinking about, when and how to contact college coaches, differences between D1, D2 and D3; as well as Prep and Community College options, etc...  We also extend to our players to contact their coach or one of the directors to sit down and discuss the world of recruiting but also advice that players and parents seek out information on the NCAA web site, this is a tremendous resource and a great help for basic questions.  http://www2.ncaa.org/index_students_parents.php
