Mass Elite Team Coaches

Mass Elite coaches are dedicated and experienced, they
love lacrosse as much as the players. Though our coaches are intense,
demanding, and highly motivated, they are also fun,
approachable and committed to every athlete in the program.

“Mass Elite is for committed, motivated, and remarkable players who play for THE LOVE OF THE GAME! Mass Elite extends an opportunity for all players who love lacrosse to play year round in very competitive environments, whether it be at a practice or a tournament. Mass Elite was founded to enable the players in the state to improve their game, learn, and to prepare themselves to play at the next level. 

My biggest motivation is now seeing the girls and boys who started Mass Elite in 1999 play at the college level and be competitive and successful.  I am excited to have extended an opportunity to Mass players to develop and grow to be top players in the country.

Mass Elite has remarkably talented players with astounding attitudes and a staff of coaches that are the finest in the state!  Mass Elite is a pleasure to be involved with and I am excited for the future of Mass Elite and its evolution!”

I have had the opportunity to work with this year’s Mass Elite sophomores since they were in fifth and sixth grade and the skill level that they have acquired is AWESOME! So much fun to work with, great kids, great families!

“ I absolutely love coaching the girls who play for Mass Elite. The main reason why is because each girl that plays for Mass Elite really wants to be there. They have chosen to work beyond their potential because they want to be the best lacrosse players that they can possibly be. Mass Elite provides them with the opportunity to do just that. The intense practices enable the girls to sharpen their skills and feel more confident in game situations. This helps them when they play tournaments with each other as well as when they go back to their high school teams. I feel lucky to be able to share my love for lacrosse with all of these young women. ”

•	Varsity Coach - Brookline High School, 1992 - 2006

Rocky grew up at Northfield Mount Hermon School, where he stood out as an All-Prep defenseman, honing his skills for a Division One collegiate career under Dom Starsia at Brown University. He began coaching lacrosse in 1991 at Brown, where he served as the Head JV Coach for the Bears. Rocky has since coached at numerous camps, assisted with many all-star teams, and came on board last year as a strong addition to our Mass Elite staff. You can almost always find him at Baggataway, the lacrosse store in Brookline that he has co-owned with other coaches since 2003.

“ I had never seen a lacrosse game before I was in high school, and I thank my lucky stars every day that I learned the game from greats like Dom Starsia, Pete Lasagna and Al Brown. They taught me not only about X's and O's, but also about the passion and respect for the game of lacrosse that sets it apart. The really phonomenal thing about Mass Elite is that it's made up of players and coaches who inspire that same spirit. Working with some of the region's best is just awesome. I consider myself lucky all over again to be a part of this program, and this game ”
