Rocky Batty has been coaching at Brookline High School since 1992, heading up the Varsity for the past eight seasons. Rocky grew up at Northfield Mount Hermon School, where he stood out as an All-Prep defenseman, honing his skills for a Division One collegiate career under Dom Starsia at Brown University. He began coaching lacrosse in 1991 at Brown, where he served as the Head JV Coach for the Bears. Rocky has since coached at numerous camps, assisted with many all-star teams, and came on board last year as a strong addition to our Mass Elite staff. You can almost always find him at Baggataway, the lacrosse store in Brookline that he has co-owned with other coaches since 2003. |

“ I had never seen a lacrosse game before I was in high school, and I thank my lucky stars every day that I learned the game from greats like Dom Starsia, Pete Lasagna, and Al Brown. They taught me not only about X’s and O’s, but also about the passion and respect for the game of lacrosse that sets it apart. The really phenomenal thing about Mass Elite is that it’s made up of players and coaches who inspire that same spirit. Working with some of the region’s best is just awesome. I consider myself lucky all over again to be a part of this program, and this game.”
