Additional Play Opportunities
Listed below are additional playing opportunities for high school players. The American Select Massachusetts Team, Underclassmen All America Team and Massachusetts/Rhode Island National Tournament teams are highly competitive and selective. Only the top players in our area are selected to represent the New England region at these events. Making one of these teams is an honor and serves as an accolade for your lacrosse resume.
AMERICAN SELECT TOURNAMENT TEAMS

Each region will feature a 2027, 2028, 2029 & 2030 team. The regional teams tryout process will be unlike any other, with collegiate coaches evaluating and selecting players. Club coaches will not be selecting the teams. Once teams are selected the teams will travel to Delaware and compete in the American Select National Tournament. Teams will converge at the end of July to compete for two days to crown a champion. The highest caliber of high school lacrosse players will be on display, fighting to be the best.

USA LACROSSE National Team Development Program

In the first phase of the selection process, USA Lacrosse will host Regional ID Clinics across the country. The Regional ID Clinics are one-day, 180-minute evaluations. For the new U15 program, the top players will be selected from these events for the U.S. Girls' U15 Youth National Team to compete against international competition.
For the U17 and U19 age groups, the top players will be invited to a National Combine in August, and eventually 48 girls will be named the U.S. Girls' U17 and U19 Youth National Teams to compete in a pair of international competitions in the fall.
The purpose of the Regional ID Clinics is to identify the elite players to move on to Stage 2 (for U17 & U19 age divisions) or Stage 3 (for U15 age division) while giving all of the participants a first-class experience with a hands-on look at what the National Team pipeline looks like. Given that the clinic is only two hours in length, in-depth and individual instructional feedback is NOT guaranteed.

Heritage Cup Tryouts

The Heritage Cup will operate Mens, U-19 Boys, U-15 Boys, U-13 Boys, Womens and U-15 Girls divisions in 2025. Games are generally held early in the mornings so athletes have the opportunity to spectate the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Final Four.
In order to determine a champion with relatively limited game action, the tournament is played with 40 minute games (two 20-minute halves), with a new match-up facing off every hour. Every team across all divisions will play at least five games on the weekend. Women’s teams will begin play on Saturday. The exact tournament formats and schedule will be determined once registration is closed.
